We are excited to welcome Grant Tobias to the Propella team as our new ICT Journey Lead.
With an impressive career spanning both the public and private sectors, Grant brings a wealth of experience in ICT strategy, governance, and operational leadership. Passionate about leveraging technology to create seamless business journeys, he is driven by the opportunity to deliver meaningful organisational impact through innovation and strategic thinking.
His appointment marks an exciting step forward as Propella continues to strengthen its capacity to support innovators, entrepreneurs, and the broader innovation ecosystem.
A Proven Track Record in ICT and Enterprise Development
Grant's extensive professional experience combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership capabilities.
He previously served as a Manager in IT Governance, Risk, Compliance (GRC), and Security at one of the world's leading Big Four audit firms, where he gained valuable experience in governance frameworks, risk management, and information security.
Building on this foundation, Grant went on to serve as National Operations Manager for an enterprise development non-profit organisation, a role he held for the past nine years. After being headhunted to establish the organisation's presence in Nelson Mandela Bay, he successfully led strategic growth initiatives, operational excellence programmes, and impactful enterprise development projects that supported businesses and entrepreneurs across the region.

Throughout his career, Grant has demonstrated a strong commitment to enabling growth through technology, innovation, and collaboration.
His ability to bridge the gap between strategic planning and operational execution has enabled organisations to improve performance, strengthen governance, and create sustainable impact. As ICT Journey Lead, he will play a key role in supporting Propella's mission of fostering innovation and creating pathways for entrepreneurs and businesses to thrive.

Outside of work, Grant values maintaining a healthy balance between professional and personal pursuits.
He enjoys staying active through regular walks and occasional hikes, while also spending time on the golf course or at the driving range. These activities provide an opportunity to recharge, reflect, and enjoy the outdoors.
