Relieve the pain of entrepreneurship

 Wanna do D.R.U.G.S?

Relieve the pain of starting a business with these tips

Job Hunting is a long and difficult process. The anxiety and stress of it all is enough to leave you hopeless and deflated. The current global pandemic has highly increased job scarcity, which has been an ongoing problem itself, even before Covid-19. Take these following pointers as solutions and guidelines to ease the frustration of being your own boss.

Design a simple business plan

It is very important to draft a business plan. This gives your business definition and clearly outlines what the business stands for and which market of consumers it is aiming to attract or is catering for. A well-drawn business plan will also help attract and secure investors and funders into the business. Websites like Canva are great tools to get started and find templates on how a business plan should be structured.

Research similar startup businesses

This allows you to see what your competitors are up to and helps you find new and creative ways to get into the market and, more importantly, to stand out.

Times change. If you have been out of work or are thinking of starting a side hustle, take time to research the industry you are setting up shop in. What is the industry focusing on in the current times? What is outdated? What opportunities are there? Keeping up to date with your specific industry contributes to your readiness.

Understand your target audience

Wherever you go, you take your brand with you. You never know when a business opportunity might present itself. Understanding yourself within the scope of brand positioning and organisational values allows you to understand what it is you can offer your target audience . Your marketing strategies should be tailored to suit the needs, wants and values of your customers or clients. This will allow them to form a connection with your brand, be loyal to it and will help you secure more business

Get started

Get out and talk to people who are already on the entrepreneurship journey. Ask all the questions to get a feel of the environment you will be branching into. What behavioural traits are required to excel at the job? Which of those do you possess, and which do you need to practise? Network with as many people as you can, attend workshops “ like some of the ones we offer, click here to view our upcoming workshops. Spread the word to immediate and extended friends. Just take that first step

Skill up

As a business owner who will also be expected to be a leader, remember; there is always more to learn. Use every opportunity you can to learn about everything business related, even if it's outside of what you studied, make use of online courses to acquire more skills and keep up to date with your industry. Get better and be better. What new areas of expertise have penetrated your industry? Is there a short course on it? How can you add to your library of skills? It is very important to be well-rounded because this will give you an upper hand in running a successful business

See? Not all drugs are bad. Good luck!
